Privacy notice

What Join Dawah collects, how organizations use information, and the choices you have.

Last updated October 28, 2026

Join Dawah is operated by SASID. This notice explains the types of information the service handles, the reasons for handling it, and who might have access to it. Organizations using Join Dawah also determine what information they record regarding their volunteers and community contacts.

Information the service handles

When you create an account, we manage your email address, display name, sign-in method, account identifier, and the dates of your account activity. If you use an email and password to sign in, we store a password hash. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, email address, verified-email status, and name. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not ask for access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or other Google services.

When you browse or join programs, the service may manage your event registrations, volunteer roles, attendance records, training and course completions, certificate records, and participation preferences. Depending on the form and organization, it may also manage a phone number, email address, postal code, city or region, language, age range, training interests, contact preferences, or a question you choose to send.

Organization teams may record information about people who request follow-up. This information might include a name, a preferred contact method, contact details, city or region, language, age range, interests, the context of a conversation, follow-up notes, interaction dates, and a general description of a person’s beliefs or stage of interest. Some of this information could be sensitive. Teams should collect only the information needed, explain the purpose of the follow-up, and obtain permission before adding someone to a contact list. Do not enter information about another person unless you have authorization to do so.

If you utilize training or coaching tools, the service might retain your written responses, records of practice sessions, generated replies, coaching feedback, scores, and details about those sessions. When you upload event materials, the service manages the files and associated information necessary for storage and display. The organization has control over who can manage its workspace and the uploaded materials.

Similar to many websites, the service gathers technical information necessary for delivering pages and safeguarding accounts. It also retains a session cookie and operational records, including details about account activity, consent choices, and security occurrences.

How we use information

We use information to create accounts, sign users in, display the community calendar, register and check in volunteers, support event operations, record supplies and outcomes, manage organization workspaces, provide training, prepare participation records, and respond to support requests. We use limited operational records to maintain service security, troubleshoot issues, and assess feature functionality.

An organization might use its records to help organize an event, reach out to someone who requested additional information, verify training completion, and share details about program activities. Reports from organizations could include information about attendance, supplies given out, and overall results. Each organization is accountable for how it uses information within its workspace and for respecting the preferences of the individuals it records.

Who can receive or see information

An event organizer can view registration and attendance details necessary for managing the event. Members of an organization have access to workspace information based on the roles assigned to them. Authorized organization members with transcript-review permission can review practice transcripts. A record of each review is kept in the organization's audit history, and the trainee can view this record. Practice sessions that begin outside of an organization remain personal and are not available to that organization.

Organizations have the option to publish details about events, organizations, and volunteer opportunities. These public details might be displayed on Join Dawah pages, in search results, in social media previews, and in public links. After information is shared publicly, others may copy or save it. Please ensure that private contact details and participant lists are not included in public descriptions. An organization can also send a volunteer coordination request to another organization; the organizations involved in that request will be able to view the message and any replies.

Join Dawah relies on service providers for hosting the application and storing its records. Google Gemini receives the text and conversation context needed to provide an AI practice response or coaching. If an organization connects a social account, its authorized users may prepare and publish approved content through that provider. Join Dawah encrypts tokens associated with connected social accounts before storing them. Google, social networks, and other providers manage information according to their own terms and privacy notices. A provider may process information in a country where its systems are located, which could be outside of your own country.

The sharing tools generate a public link or open a draft within your device’s email or WhatsApp application. Join Dawah does not send those draft messages or publish them on your behalf. We do not sell personal information or use Google sign-in data for advertising.

AI practice and voice

AI practice sends your submitted text and the conversation context needed for a response to Google Gemini. Conversation history and coaching records may remain in your account or organization workspace. Organization sessions can be reviewed by authorized organization members with transcript-review permission. Do not include private information about yourself or another person unless it is needed for the exercise and you have permission to share it. Google processes AI requests under the terms that apply to the configured Gemini service. We do not promise that the provider will handle prompts the same way under every account or service plan. Some practice features can speak generated text aloud. The selected text may be sent to Google’s text-to-speech service for audio generation. Browser speech recognition, when available and enabled, may process speech under the browser provider’s terms. Text-based practice is also available if you prefer not to speak; it follows the same account and organization access rules as other practice.

Choices, retention, and requests

You have options regarding Google sign-in, the content of a public profile, and whether to open or share a draft. You may request that an organization review and adjust or remove information it manages. You can also contact us via email to request access, correction, or deletion of your account information. We might need to verify your identity and work with the organization that holds a record to fulfill your request.

Organizations have the ability to specify retention dates for contact records. The service will redact records that are eligible for redaction after the configured date, provided there is no active consent. Other information may be kept as long as it is required to provide the service, maintain security records, resolve disagreements, or fulfill legal obligations. Removing a public page does not eliminate copies that have already been saved by search engines or other individuals. Please contact us if you need assistance with a request.

Cookies and account security

Join Dawah uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. It is HttpOnly, uses SameSite protection, is marked Secure in production, and is configured to expire after up to 30 days without activity. Your browser may also keep interface preferences. We use access controls and security measures designed to protect accounts and organization records, but no internet service can promise perfect security.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice when the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For privacy questions or a request about your account, email hello@sasid.ai with “Join Dawah privacy” in the subject. Do not send passwords or sensitive personal information by email.
